General terms and conditions of Samuel Rieder GmbH, Aspiring Mountain Guide SMGA
Booking
With your verbal or written booking, a contract is concluded between you and Samuel Rieder GmbH as the organizer. You thus accept the general terms and conditions (GTC). In the event of disputes, the German language version of the GTC shall apply.
Terms of payment
Unless otherwise agreed upon, the invoiced amount is to be paid before the start of the outing. Deposits for bigger bookings are an option. Payments not made on time entitle the organizer to withdraw from the contract. Any cancellation costs will be claimed from the customer according to the cancellation cost regulation.
Fee
Unless otherwise agreed upon, the daily rate is 650 CHF for 1-2 days, 640 CHF for three days and 630 CHF for longer engagements. However, it can be adjusted in principle according to the size of the group, the difficulty of the tour and the duration of the engagement. The guideline rates for summits can be viewed at https://sbv-asgm.ch/tarife-und-avbs/. The half-day rate is 450 CHF (departure after 13h / arrival before 12h). Furthermore, the expenses (transport with half-rate SBB, transport by car at 0.70 CHF/km after arrangement, accommodation/half-board, cable cars) of the mountain guide are to be borne by the client.
Insurances
Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. It is the responsibility of each participant to have sufficient insurance coverage for the possible risks arising from mountain sports activities. It is recommended to be a REGA or Air Glacier patron and to take out cancellation insurance.
Cancellation and changes on the part of the organizer
The organizer reserves the right to cancel the offer or to adapt it to the current conditions (weather, conditions, etc.). In case of cancellation, the participants will be refunded the full amount, any further compensation is excluded. In the event of uncertain weather conditions or unfavourable conditions, the organizer reserves the right to change the program and conduct a substitute tour for safety reasons. An adjustment of the program may result in minor additional costs. In addition, participants who violate the GTC or do not bring the necessary requirements for the tour, can be excluded from the tour, or the tour can be cancelled. In this case there is no claim for refund.
Cancellation fee policy
If the participant withdraws from the contract, the following fees will be charged:
20 – 15 days before start = 25% of the course costs
14 – 8 days before start = 75% of the course costs
7 – 0 days before start = 100% of the course costs
If a participant cancels the activity before the event or does not attend at all, he/she is not entitled to a refund. Taking out cancellation insurance (often included in travel insurance) is recommended.
Terms of participation
Each participant assures to bring the necessary physical and mental conditions for the selected tour and to be adequately equipped. The missing equipment can be rented from the organizer with sufficient advance. The participants are obliged to communicate possible health problems. The instructions of the organizer have to be followed. In case of disregard, the organizer reserves the right to exclude offending persons or groups from the tour. In this case there is no claim for refund.
